I can hardly believe that five years have passed since I was sat in this very seat, typing my first-ever editorial introduction to Issue one of Ultra VW magazine! Where has the time gone? It’s certainly been an action-packed adventure so far, and I’d like to think we’ve only just begun to enjoy the roller-coaster ride of VW action that lies ahead! I still recall being told: ‘You’ll be gone within a year’ and ‘It’ll never work out’ by some folk... Well, we’re still here and we’ve even picked up the odd award for our efforts along the way! Of course, that’s no excuse to rest on our laurels. Far from it! There’s always room for improvement, and that’s why Si Mitchell (our ace designer) has made a few tweaks to the usual format this month. After all, some five years in, it’s probably about time we freshened up the decor within ‘Château Ultra’! I’d appreciate your feedback on the progress of the magazine and, as ever, we’re always happy to hear your suggestions for future improvements and feature ideas.
